Recharging The Creative

I've been taking a few weeks to recharge my creative side and work in new song ideas. Already played out and recorded a demo track with my phone recording me on guitar and have the base for new music (best simple way I find to get new ideas).   But the lyrics/story is not there yet. 

Couple more days. 

Yes I do have a new song called Sunday. Not a fun day.  But actually I wrote that a few months ago and debated if I should publish it or not. I finally pulled the plug last Sunday lol. 

I think it was a good lesson because I realize what kind of song I really like to create and listen to, and what song doesn't really click with me. I think I tried too hard with this one and it didn't do it in the end.  So while I spend many weeks writing the lyrics of this Sunday song.. with many many retakes on the instrumental part... it just doesn't click with me 100%. 

It's not a bad song. But it doesn't give me that "feeling" I get when I hear a song that really moves me, despite all the work I put into it, and it showed me the contrast. So like I said it was a good lesson.
