Saturday
In case you wonder where these or how these songs begin, this is my original live track/idea I played back in November. The "Practice" version basically.
Saturday morning and I survived
A week of stress but I'm still alive
No alarm, no place to go
Saturday morning… let’s take it slow
Monday arrives too fast you know?
By Tuesday tensions start to grow
Wednesday stress is getting high
Thursday’s feel I'm gonna die
Friday night I shut it down
Closed the laptop, and turned around
HEY! it’s Saturday,
Let the music start to play
Throw the windows open wide
Let the sunshine flood inside
Hands up high, the whole world say —
It's Saturday! Yeah what a day!
Shoes kicked off beside the bed
No racing thoughts inside my head
Laundry waiting, dishes too
But none of that I'll do till noon
The quiet hum of morning air
A softer weight I get to wear
No deadlines chasing down my spine
Just open hours that are mine
Monday I guess I have to go
By Tuesday tensions start to grow
Wednesday stress is getting high
Thursday’s feel I'm gonna die
Friday night I shut it down
Closed the laptop, and turned around
HEY! it’s Saturday,
Let the music start to play
Throw the windows open wide
Let the sunshine flood inside
Hands up high, the whole world say —
It's Saturday! Yeah what a day!
No alarms and no delay
Let the music start to play
Sing it loud. It's Saturday!
Street outside is moving slow
Sun is warm, the air just glows
Neighbors laughing somewhere near
Music drifting through the air
No meetings waiting in a queue
No inbox growing times two
Just the rhythm of the day
Letting all the worries go away
HEY! it’s Saturday,
Let the music start to play
Throw the windows open wide
Let the sunshine flood inside
No alarm, no place to go
Saturday morning… take it slow
Let the music start to play
Breath in deep, Yeah It's Saturday!
